Membership Requirements

To be eligible for membership, a person must be a veteran of a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces and have served during a period of war as defined by the Congress of the United States of America. Eligibility dates are:

Beginning	Ending	Period of War
April 6, 1917	November 11, 1918	World War I
December 7, 1941	December 31, 1946	World War II
December 7, 1941	August 15, 1945	World War II (U.S. Merchant Marine only)
June 25, 1950	January 31, 1955	Korean War
February 28, 1961	May 7, 1975	Vietnam War
August 24, 1982	July 31, 1984	Lebanon & Grenada
December 20, 1989	January 31, 1990	Panama
August 2, 1990	(to be determined)	Persian Gulf War

Membership Application

Once you have confirmed your eligibility with the above information, go to the membership form, print it, fill it out, and mail it to the address provided, or submit it on-line. The address provided is for the Fifth District only.
